Beyond Bread, a 100% gluten-free bakery and café is set to open in central London this month.
The bakery will bake on-site, and will produce cakes, biscuits, quiches and pies, pastries, and breads for sandwiches.
It has been marketed with the tag-line ’Gluten-free is the new black’.
The recipes were created by Amanda Parker, Ulrich Becker and Adriana Rabinovich, authors of The Gluten-Free Cookbook For Kids.
The bakery said it hoped to become “the ultimate hangout for foodies and a gluten-free hot spot for Londoners”.
It said in a statement: “The number of social media enquiries has been unprecedented and the team has worked tirelessly to get Beyond Bread ship-shape in time for a pre-Christmas opening.”
The gluten-free bakery zone, loacted on Charlotte Place, Fitzrovia, will open for Christmas from 15 December to 23December, and will officially open on 5 January 2015.
It will offer goods to eat in or take-away, and will create products such as lemon and chia muffins.
