Equipment specialist European Process Plant (EPP) has become the exclusive distributor of Jufeba frying technology for UK and Ireland.

Jufeba is a mid-sized, family-run machinery specialist based in Uelzen, Germany. It handmakes a range of equipment from conventional tabletop fryers to largescale continuous frying lines as well products and accessories including cream cookers, food warmers, and automatic filling solutions.

Its latest WW2-AT doughnut fryer features a new 7” HMI touch panel and automatic lid-closing system for improved usability, as well as custom baking programmes with up to three turning processes. Its USD 2.0 in-line frying system now requires less oil, featuring an automatic electronic oil level control as well as an automatic fat cleaning system, which increases the quality of baked goods and oil lifespan, according to the firm.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Jufeba, which is a high-quality and well-respected manufacturer renowned for its craftsmanship,” said EPP managing director Steve Merritt.

“Like EPP, Jufeba has more than 50 years of experience in the industry, which it uses to create exceptional solutions to solve industry challenges.”

EPP is extending its offering in the UK as the news comes shortly after the business announced it was now the exclusive distributor of Senius tunnel ovens.

The Surrey-based equipment supplier also made its first sale of the MIWE Smartfresh system in the UK this summer. The storage system allows bakers to store par-baked goods, such as bread, for a longer period of three to 10 days, and bake them off as and when they’re needed. By storing products at a constant temperature of about 4°C and a humidity of 95-98% RH, par-baked goods are able to absorb more moisture with each day they’re stored. This improves the texture, flavour, and shelf life of products, as they stay fresher for longer, EPP said.
