SIAB, the Italian bakery show held in Verona, will take place from 25-29 May 2013. The organisers have formed alliances with different countries, including Brazil and Russia, to widen the scope of the event’s market.

As well as a focus on the latest machinery for bakery, pastry, and confectionery, the show will look at the health aspects of bakery, including ’free-from’. One example is a new machine for pre-cooking rice and maize using a particular procedure of ’gelatinisation’. Designed and built by CMF in Brescia, it was inaugurated at agro-engineering firm Antenore & Marco Speziali in Roncoferraro (Mantua).

Other new equipment will be launched at the show, which will also feature theatre demonstrations and new recipes.
