Costa

Taking centre stage of Costa’s spring 2026 menu is the new Bacon, Mature Cheddar, & Chilli Jam Hot Cross Bun (rsp: from £5.30). A savoury twist on the Easter sweet bakery classic, it comprises beechwood smoked streaky bacon, sliced mature cheddar, and smoky chilli relish tucked inside a fruited hot cross bun.

Also new to the line-up is the Chicken Salad Sandwich (from £4.55), filled with roast chicken breast, lemon & black pepper mayonnaise, sliced tomato, cucumber, and lettuce on malted bread. Its described as fresh, balanced, and perfect for a springtime lunch.

For those with a sweet tooth, the new Strawberry & Matcha Cookie Sandwich (from £3.15) features white chocolate and matcha cookies sandwiching a filling of strawberry jam and matcha frosting, finished with a pink icing drizzle and freeze-dried strawberry pieces.

These seasonal bakery introductions are joined by a pair of new beverages – Sweet Ube Hot Chocolate (from £4.65) and Sweet Ube Frappe (from £4.35) – which align with the global food trend of vibrant purple yams. There’s also a new addition to Costa’s Matcha Latte range: Cherry Vanilla Iced Matcha Latte (from £5.15).

Greggs

“Your lunch break called, and it wants an upgrade,” says Greggs, pointing to its new Tandoori Chicken Sandwich (from £2.40). This features roast chicken breast in a tandoori-style mayonnaise, layered on fresh salad leaves, all served in soft malted brown bread. It can also be purchased as part of the £5 meal deal (with a side and drink) launched by Greggs last autumn.

There is also a duo of seasonal sweet bakery favourites hopping back onto shelves this spring. The Easter Jammy Biscuit (from £1.35) is filled with apple and raspberry jam, topped with fondant and a festive sugar paste decoration. And the Easter Bun (£from £1.15 single, from £3.45 for pack of four) is made up of a vanilla flavour sponge topped with fondant, a flurry of colourful sprinkles, and an adorable bunny sugar paste decoration.

Rounding off the springtime menu additions are new thirst-quenching iced drinks: Cherry Lemonade and Cherry & Mango Cooler (from £2.75 each).

New baguettes, flatbreads, sandwiches, and loaf cakes form the latest expansion of high street chain Pret’s menu.

The new Thai Style Chicken Baguette, available in both full and half sizes, contains sliced chicken in a green coconut and lime leaf dressing, topped with red pepper, coriander, coconut flakes, and chilli salt on a freshly baked white baguette.

Pret’s popular half range welcomes the new Shawarma Spiced Chicken Half Flatbread and the Falafel, Avo & Chipotle Half Flatbread. Customers can pair these with their choice a half baguette or a side soup for a personalised meal.

There’s also two brand-new Triple Sandwiches that bring together some of the chain’s most iconic recipes. The All-Day Breakfast Triple marks the return of the All-Day Breakfast sandwich, filled with sausage, streaky bacon and free-range egg mayo, now joined by the BLT and Egg Mayo in a pack. Alongside it, the new Everyday Triple batches up the Super Club, Pole & Line Caught Tuna, and Free-Range Egg Mayo sandwiches.

The bakery counter at Pret is also getting new sweet treats including the Pistachio & Almond Loaf Cake, which sees nutty pistachio & almond sponge topped with a creamy pistachio icing and sprinkled with pistachios and raspberry crumbs. The Lemon & Almond Loaf Cake, meanwhile, is a lemon polenta cake topped with zingy lemon icing and flaked almonds.

Fans of Pret’s flapjack-based Love Bar can enjoy its flavours combined into new hot or iced drinks, the Love Bar Latte and the Love Bar Flat White. These comprise an indulgent biscuity mix of chocolate and caramel with organic coffee, topped with a dusting of chocolate.
