Fast food chain Leon has partnered with Sainsbury’s to launch a range of grocery products, including four loaves.
The range is Leon’s first in the grocery sector and comprises 14 items, including bread, sauces, mayonnaises, vinegars and olive oils.
The loaves in the range are all sourdough, made using a 20-year-old mother starter and baked daily in Sainsbury’s in-store bakeries.
The line-up features Quinoa Sourdough, Sweet Potato & Carrot Sourdough, Rye Pumpernickel Sourdough and Super White Sourdough, all priced at £2.85.
Leon said the range, available exclusively at Sainsbury’s, would pave the way for future launches, with regular new products scheduled to follow “in 2020 and beyond”.
“Finding the right partner to help us take our mission into people’s homes was so important. Sainsbury’s is a supermarket that, like us, puts food and flavour first, so teaming up together just makes sense. Now we’re embarking on a partnership that champions food innovation, alongside our values,” said John Vincent, co-founder of Leon.
“This brand-new range is an important step for us as a business, as we grow beyond restaurants and continue to live out our ambition to help people access Naturally Fast Food, every day.”
