Loch Leven’s Larder has unveiled its new food hall, bakery and tasting room.
The business near Kinross, Scotland, opened in 2005 as a cafe and a market stall selling vegetables grown on the family farm. Now, Loch Leven’s Larder has transformed with the addition of a butchery, a new 40-cover cafe, a tasting room and bakery.
The bakery stocks fresh bread, scones, tray bakes, cakes, biscuits and patisserie every day, all of which is made in-house by a pastry chef. It also offers luxury sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, pies, quiche and pâté made by classically-trained chefs.
Loch Leven’s Larder said it decided to open a bakery as it had become well known for the craft, having baked since the busines started.
“It has always been our dream to have dedicated space for our bakery and to invest in more space and staff for this vital aspect of our business, and 2018 has seen this dream finally realised,” said owner Emma Niven.
