Scottish supplier Walker’s Shortbread is launching a new premium product range as part of its Christmas 2022 line-up.
The Prestige range is described as a gourmet selection and will be available directly from the Walker’s website and exclusively at Selfridges. The range includes mince pies, a festive shortbread assortment and gifting tubes with flavours including Spiced Demerara and Cranberry & Clementine.
Aberlour-based Walker’s has also unveiled a new design across its wider festive range to reflect its recent rebrand.
Alongside returning festive products including assortment boxes and festive shape tins are new lines such as tree decorations containing two Walker’s Shortbread fingers or stars, and a Walker’s Shortbread Scottie Dog with a ‘Rudolph’ makeover.
The Walker’s Shortbread advent calendar is also returning for 2022 with a new look and book-style design, while Walker’s mince pies will be available in four and six-packs as well as a pack of nine bite-sized pies.
“We place huge value in providing our customers with a breadth of seasonal sales opportunities and demonstrating our continued commitment to diversify and cater to wider audiences,” said Walker’s managing director Nicky Walker.
Walker became managing director in January, 25 years after he joined his family’s business. He was first appointed to the Walker’s board in 2007 as production director and worked alongside his late father in developing the company’s facilities in Aberlour and Elgin.
At the time of his appointment to manging director he said: “It is an enormous honour to be given this responsibility to lead the family business. As joint managing directors, my father and uncle transformed what was a village bakery into an internationally renowned business and brand.
In April, Walker’s partnered with retailer Dufry to launch a new 19-strong Global Travel Retailer range into more than 55 travel sites worldwide.
