Tarts, toasties, and turkey curry pies: Tesco unwraps bakery range for Christmas 2025

Tesco is kickstarting the festive season early as it offers those on the nice list a sneak peek at its bakery range for Christmas 2025.

There are mince pies, chocolate tarts, and even Bombay potato toasties as well as several sweet and savoury edible wreaths. The formats are familiar, but the nation’s largest retailer is branching out with interesting flavour combinations to entice shoppers in the run up to the big day.

Chocolate & Gingerbread S’mores Tarts

Tesco is hitting classic Christmas and on-trend flavours all in one with these tarts. Part of the Tesco Finest range, they feature crumbly all butter pastry filled with a decadent chocolate sauce and sweet gingerbread sponge. For added indulgence, they’re topped with a s’mores marshmallow-flavoured buttercream, glossy chocolate fondant and a ginger biscuit crumb.

Sticky Toffee Panettone Christmas Pudding

Panettone, sticky toffee pudding, and Christmas pudding – the three classics come together in one dessert. It features plump vine fruits, sticky dates, and buttery panettone complete with a serving of butterscotch sauce.

Salted Banoffee Cascading Star

There’s a new sweet and salty flavour on the scene – salted banoffee. This dessert, part of the Tesco Finest range, has a golden banana sponge and is served with a salted caramel sauce and a sachet of toffee popcorn pieces for a final flourish at the table.

Free From Black Forest Brownie Slices

Rich brownie slices with all the flavours of the classic dessert. The slices are brimming with cherries and dark chocolate, topped with a sweet frosting and finished with lustred dark chocolate curls.

Maple Bacon Sausage Roll Wreath

Wreaths are a popular format across the sweet and savoury selection at Tesco this year. This sharing iteration includes British pork, smoked bacon, and sweet maple syrup wrapped in golden all-butter puff pastry and hand finished with stars and a parsley crumb.

Chocolate & Salted Caramel Wreath Cake

Another wreath, this time sweet, is the Chocolate & Salted Caramel Wreath Cake. It has rich chocolate sponge separated by layers of chocolate and salted caramel sauce. The cake is coated in chocolate frosting and decorated with vibrant buttercream baubles.

Chocolate & Honeycomb Choux Wreath

Rounding off the wreath selection is the Chocolate & Honeycomb Choux Wreath. Layers of golden choux pastry is filled with sea salted honeycomb flavoured sauce and honeycomb flavoured British whipped cream before being hand decorated with chocolate ganache, chocolate shards, and honeycomb pieces.

No-Beef Bourguinon Pies

Flaky puff pastry filled with vegan beef-style strips, baby pearl onions, carrots, and chestnut mushrooms in a red wine & cognac sauce, topped with a puff pastry holly leaf and green sprinkle.

Chef’s Collection Beef Wellington

This centrepiece features a tender beef fillet, matured for 30 days and carefully wrapped in a herb crèpe, all encased in a flavourful mushroom, shallot, and Madeira wine duxelles and fully wrapped in flaky, all-butter puff pastry.

Slow Cooked Turkey Curry Pie

Bridget Jones’ mum would be thrilled! Slow-cooked turkey in a spiced butter sauce is encased in a crispy cumin and turmeric all butter shortcrust pastry.

Carbs on carbs. These party food additions see potatoes in a spiced tomato & onion sauce, sandwiched between bread and topped with parsley and red chilli.

Gingerbread Panettone

Gingerbread flavours meet the classic Italian panettone. This sweet Italian bread is studded with caramel pieces and oozing caramel sauce, all finished with a spiced sugar dusting. It is part of a range of Tesco Finest panettones for Christmas 2025 including a Gifting Nocciolato Panettone with candied orange peel topped with hazelnut frosting, a Mini Authentic Panettone, and Limoncello Panettone which is infused with lemon zest and studded with candied lemon and orange peel, and finished with a silky Limoncello syrup.

Tesco is taking prawn toast to the next level this year with the addition of scallop. The seafood is mixed with spices and vegetables on a bed of sweet crispy bread, all topped with black and white sesame seeds.

Chocolate Hazelnut Frangipane Tarts

All-butter pastry is filled with a rich chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate & hazelnut frangipane, before being hand finished with flaked hazelnuts and a light dusting of sugar. They form part of Tesco’s wider tarts and pies range for Christmas 2025 which includes Rum & Raisin Mince Pies and Brandy Butter Mince Pies finished with a swirl of sweet brandy buttercream.

More international flavours on the party food platter come courtesy of these mini flaky pastries filled with tangy feta, sweet apricot, and a kick from harissa as well as a hot honey drizzle.

These gluten-free, all-butter cookies, part of the Tesco Finest range, and generously studded with Belgian dark chocolate chunks and crunchy pistachio.
