Former The Bread Factory sales manager Miguel Da Riberia has joined Carr’s Flour.
Described by Carr’s as a bakery wholesale and manufacturing specialist, Riberia has eight years’ experience in the bakery industry, both in artisan and semi-automated markets.
Da Riberia grew up as part of his family’s retail business, which included a from-scratch bakery. This led to his passion for flour and its ability to bring people together around the table.
Starting out in the food industry as a chef provided a foundation for understanding and respecting the foodservice industry and the importance of the supply chain. Before joining Carr’s, he was sales manager at The Bread Factory and has also held roles in general foodservice.
“I’m delighted to be working with such a well-respected brand like Carr’s Flour and thrilled to be part of the wider family,” he said.
Da Riberia added that he was “excited to contribute” to an industry he feels very connected to.
“Carr’s Flour have an exceptional reputation within the industry – they’re millers that bakers know they trust. I plan to be the conduit between customers and millers and help enhance these relationships even further.”
As sales manager at Carr’s, Da Riberia will liaise with new and existing customers, look after their interests and elevate the brand in the foodservice and retail sectors.
He hopes to raise awareness, improve exposure, grow the business and help transform it into the go-to flour for bakers.
