CSM Ingredients has officially launched following the completion of the sale of CSM Bakery Solutions to an investment subsidiary of Investindustrial.
Baker & Baker has also announced its launch as a standalone business having separated from CSM as part of the sale.
Aldo Uva has been appointed as CEO of the Luxembourg-based company, which supplies bakery ingredients in more than 100 countries.
In the UK, CSM Ingredients will retain its local teams represented by Ivor McKane and the business will continue to supply the products and services of Arkady and Craigmillar, it said.
“Thanks to the great work done in the past decades, we are perfectly placed to continue to play a leading role to support the evolution of food because we love ingredients, and we will fully focus on it,” said Uva.
“Our expertise in food innovation to drive differentiation, our inspired teams, our commitment to a sustainable future and our dedication to successful and reliable partnerships will provide the foundation to springboard the company commitment to create value and achieve further successes.”
Uva will be supported by an experienced leadership team consisting of Maarten Bok (CFO), Alex Dekker (COO), Alex Lannoo (CCO Industry & International), Enrica Satta (CHRO), Eduardo Silva (CIO), Kerstin Schmidt (CMTO) and Thomas Tanck (CCO Field Trade).
To mark the start of its new era, CSM Ingredients has announced a sustainability programme in collaboration with non-profit organisation Tree Nation. According to the initiative, across Europe, Africa and Asia, one tree will be planted for every CSM Ingredients employee.
