Wellingborough-based Little Bakery of Happiness has created a microsite for local delivery of frozen items.
The gluten-free bakery had built the microsite to simplify the ordering process for consumers, said owner and founder Vicky Robertson.
It comprises a limited menu of frozen products, including baked bread rolls, tarts and cake slices, as well as raw pies, pastries and cookie dough. The products can be ordered from the bakery for delivery within four zones.
Deliveries are made across Northamptonshire from the bakery on Fridays, with strict social distancing measures in place.
The frozen menu would change each week, with new items added, such as last week’s Little Tart of Happiness with white chocolate and raspberry, said the company. An update will be posted on the bakery’s Facebook page each Sunday.
Also in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, a small number of ambient products were available to buy from its online web shop and can be shipped across the UK, said the company. These included pantry products, such as gluten-free flour and baking mixes for making biscuits, bread, muffins and pastry, with courier costs of £7.99 for goods up to 5kg and £8.99 for goods up to 10kg.
Little Bakery of Happiness is also offering Little Boxes of Happiness (£19.70) for consumers who would like to receive six hand-baked slices of cake by post.
